Superbowl MVP Drew Brees Talks Big Win with Dave Letterman
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees joined David Letterman on "The Late Show" Monday night to talk about his team’s Super Bowl win and his Most Valuable Player honor.
Letterman congratulated Brees, despite confessing his initial frustration over the loss of the TV host’s hometown team, the Indianapolis Colts. He told Brees that was angry about the loss, but "then I saw that image of you and your son, and suddenly I just felt fine about everything because to me that coalesces, that crystallizes, that explains visually what really it is all about. Congratulations for that moment right there, that’s fantastic."
Letterman and Brees spoke about the moment when Brees held his baby son Baylen to celebrate after the big win. "When we saw you on TV with your son, it looked like you were both sort of just looking around, enjoying the experience. Is that what it was?"
